Big Garden BirdWatch Results 2013

That’s the Big Garden Birdwatch done for another year. As usual during the hour that we allocated we didn’t really get anything exciting, except for a load of Lapwings. If it had been last weekend then the list would have been full of thrushes and redwings but we saw none of these today.

As always the idea is to count the highest number of each species that you see at any one time during the hour. Our list for the hour that Morgan and I sat there was as follows:

  • Blackbird X1
  • Collared Dove x5
  • Robin x1
  • Blue Tit x2
  • House Sparrow x2
  • Carrion Crow x2
  • Starling x22
  • Chaffinch x2
  • Great Tit x1
  • Magpie x4
  • Red Kite x1
  • Herring Gull x2
  • Lapwing x10
  • Black-headed Gull x 2

Don’t forget to make your count this weekend if you get the chance… what did you see?
