A Tricky Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Eggs

Easter Sunday and Morgan got up at about 6am. I had been awake for ages, but luckily I hadn’t bumped into the Easter Bunny. He had visited though, leaving loads of eggs on the dining room table and a list of clues for Morgan’s Easter Egg hunt. Mind you, there was plenty of chocolate on the table even before the hunt had started, and the bunny had nibbled the carrot Morgan had left for him.

The Easter Egg hunt had 14 different clues so Morgan started work on them straight away. The first one:

  • When you’re feeling less than fresh there’s just one place to go,
to wash and get all squeaky clean and scrub between each toe.

was a nice easy start for Morgan but some of the clues got a little more tricky. Here are a few, can you work them out!

  • I have a bark, but I have no bite. I’m rarely still, but I never wander. What am I?
  • Here on Earth it is true, yesterday is always before today; but there is a place where yesterday always follows today. Where?
  • Communicate with family, research, shop and play games.
Since this invention swept the globe, our lives have really changed.
  • I have dozens of keys, but none open a door. What am I?

Some of the clues took Morgan outside onto the frosty grass and sub-zero temperatures, he even had to do some tree climbing – goodness knows how the Easter Bunny hid an egg up there it the pitch dark last night!

Before too long he had worked them all out and the stash of eggs on the table had grown considerably.

My fiancé and I are stuck on the ”yesterday always follows today” one, can you reveal the answer?

OK, OK… It’s quite easy really… Yesterday follows today in the dictionary. 🙂

But here’s another for you that we quite liked – Morgan looked this one up as he quite likes these riddles now:

What is greater than God yet more evil than the devil.
The poor have it and the rich need it.
But if you eat it you will die?

      Al.

Ah – seems so obvious now! Is the answer to the next one ‘nothing’?

    Yes, it’s clever.
