MTBing at Nant yr Arian

Its been a while since I’ve been properly Mountain Biking – So long in fact that when I got my bike out yesterday it still had the race number on it from a race I did back in August – The CRC MTB Marathon in Abergavenny.

It was therefore nice to get out for a little spin at Nant yr Arian yesterday, despite the slightly dreary weather and cold temperatures. I parked at Pendam and rode across to the Visitor Centre where I met Tim, Emma, Mike, Dan, Eugene and Gareth. Mike was missing a bolt from a bike so heaed back home and said he’d meet us again at Pendam. We all set off for a little ride at a leisurely, social pace around the Pendam and Summit trails. We made it back to the Visitor Centre just as it got dark, in time for a hot chocolate and flapjack in front of the fire.

Here’s a few video clips from the ride.

The others all then packed up and went home whilst I rode back to Pendam in darkness.

It may have been a little cold and wet but it was fun out there and pretty comfortable with the right kit.
