Christmas Meals

The Christmas festivities continue here. We’ve already had a birthday meal for my Mum’s 60th last week and a Christmas Carvery with my family. Last night we had a another celebratory meal, this time with the Aberystwyth Beekeepers Association. It was also my birthday yesterday so it doubled as a birthday meal as well.

We met at Maes Bangor in Capel Bangor and were directed to our seats. Those of us having the set Christmas Dinner meal were on one table, those having an option from the bar menu were on a separate table. Anna, Morgan and I were having the set meal so had Christmas Crackers to pull and Christmassy napkins too. Anna and I both had the duck pancake rolls as starters, I then had the turkey whilst Anna had beef and for pudding I had Christmas pudding and Anna had a lemon meringue. All of this was finished off with coffee and mince pies and was of course interspersed with lots of chatting and enjoying ourselves.

It was good to see all of the beekeepers as we hadn’t seen them for a while so it was a good chance to catch up and see some faces we don’t see that often. All in all it was a good night out that made us feel as though Christmas is coming.
