Spring Seedlings

We’re doing well this year with our seed sowing and preparatory gardening. I’ve been busy tidying up and preparing the garden for summer. I’ve even mowed the lawn a couple of times already. The harsh winter does mean that we’ve lost a few plants, but we’ll hopefully get around to replacing some of them soon. Elsewhere, things are growing well and looking good. The Gunnera’s are shooting, the Marsh Marigolds are in full bloom and everything else seems to be enjoying the warm weather and April showers.

The seedlings in the greenhouse are coming on well too. We have Sunflowers, Peas, Beans, Courgettes, Spinach, lettuce, French Marigolds, Chillis and a few other things too. Lets hope we can bring them on and get a bumper crop this summer. If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to get sowing.
