Christmas comes Early

Christmas came early to out household yesterday. It’s a long story, but Anna cam home on Friday with a huge (8kg) fresh turkey. There was nothing to do, but to cook it. So yesterday we made a start with eating it, but even with help from Robbie the cat we barely made a dent in it.
It was nice to have Christmas dinner a month early though and I even had a token mince pie for pudding as Dennis and Mark had left us with a packet when they visited on Saturday. Trouble is, it looks like the menu will consist of turkey sandwiches, turkey pie and turkey curry until almost Christmas day when we’ll start all over again – Although, to be fair we are having goose for Christmas this year.
Don’t worry, we didn’t have any crackers or wear silly hats at dinner yesterday, we’ll save that for Dec. 25th,
