Burning off the mince pies

Another busy day here today – Hopefully I’ll have burnt off some of the excess Christmas calories, but some how I doubt it because I seem to be fuelling myself with pringles, mince pies, cake and licquorice allsorts.

First session of the day was a 1 hr 20 minute turbo trainer session. This was followed by a shower and a stroll to the beach. Then it was into my wetsuit and back across to the beach for a windsurf. After that it was another shower and out of my wetsuit into some running kit and off to Talybont for a core workout session with the triathlon club.

The core workout was all very civilised and even ended with cups of tea and cakes all round – Now that’s the way workouts should be! Then it was yet another shower and time for dinner. I’m on a recovery week this week with my training though so none of it was particularly difficult and the odd bit of cake here and there won’t do too much harm.

Hopefully soon all of the Christmas goodies will be used up and I’ll be able to lose some of the extra weight I’ve gained over the festive season. Trouble is, Anna and I are kind of off work until the schools go back on Jan 9th, so if we keep the festivities going until then I could well have trouble getting off the sofa, let alone completing a busy workout week.
