Hi Rosie, I’ve taken a look in my files and I don’t have a copy of the results I’m afraid. You might try contacting the SYTri club, they might be able to help.

Does anyone have any photos of the SYTRi 2011 event, and the results table please?
Trying to find them on line is proving impossible, all the links given above either don't work or have expired.
Cheers.

The results are out, you can see them here (although they aren't very clear and are therefore a little difficult to read): http://www.severntriathlon.moonfruit.com/#/2011/4549645512

I was 10th overall - 2nd Vet, upgraded to 1st as the 1st Vet was also 1st overall.
Pete was 13th overall - 4th Super Vet.

Here are my splits:
Swim (incl. run to T1) 6:56 (6th)
T1: 0:57
Bike: 39:30 (20th)
Run + T2: 19:53 (14th)

Here are Petes:
Swim (incl. run to T1) 8:14 (36th)
T1: 1:06
Bike: 37:58 (8th)
Run + T2: 20:30 (26th)

Thanks David.. Personally I'm always more impressed by the people at the back of the field. It's more of a challenge for them and the fact that they have to keep going for twice as long as I do must make it more physically and mentally demanding for them too.

I find it fairly easy, they don't, so it's much more of an achievement for the person who finishes last than it is for the person who finishes first.

Alan you write an amazing description of your Shrewsbury Triathlon, can't help living though every agonizing moment and thought with you, and felt quite out of breath and exhilarated with euphoria. Congratulations on your well deserved achievement for veterans something really to be proud of and congratulations too for your friend Pete, he must be thrilled in his coaching capacity to see his efforts have given both of you a competitive challenge in friendship. As ever David
