Too much for one day?

It’s going to be a busy day today. Despite having my car serviced and MOT’d just before Christmas, on Christmas eve it decided to break-down meaning I needed the recovery service to come out to meet me in Morissons car park so that I could get home for Christmas. Since then its been sat on the drive waiting to go to the garage for a new starting motor.

Today is the day it is due to go in. So, the first task is to see if I can get it going. It’s then off to the garage whilst Anna does the school run. We then have to juggle cars so that I can come back home to do some work and hopefully a Turbo Trainer session before heading back into Aberystwyth for the afternoon school run.

I then need to hang around in Aberystwyth with Morgan until Anna finishes work. I might take him to the climbing wall. If my car is finished by then I can collect it while Anna brings Morgan home. If not, I shall bring them both home in Anna’s car before heading back to Aber for a circuit training session and a swim session.

Somehow I’m not really expecting things to go as planned. Getting the car started in the first place could well put a spanner in the works. It could start snowing heavily which may change things. But, the real questions is, can my (no longer 20 year old) body really  cope with 3 training sessions in one day?!

Whatever happened to a ‘simple’ life of luxury?

So far so good… I managed to get the car going by whacking the starting motor whilst Anna turned the key. A few sparks came off it as I did, but once going it was OK and I managed to get it to the garage.

The ‘engine management’ light was on all the way there, but now it is the hands of the professionals!

That’s the turbo trainer session and work done. Just an easy(ish) session on the turbo trainer today and another PWC170 test.

    Well, I survived.

The circuit training session was good, although I do ache today. My car is fixed and I managed to get everything done that I was supposed to do.

However, the schools are closed again today so Morgan is at home with me and today may not be quite so productive.
