People to Windsurf With

Autumn has been living up to expectations with some decent winds. I have of course been making the most of it and have been out windsurfing quite a bit. Even better is the fact that there are a couple of students at the university who windsurf as well this year so I might actually have someone to sail with for a change.

I’m usually out there on my own, which as well as not being quite as safe as sailing with someone else isn’t always as much fun either. Afterall, pulling off my best ever forward loop is pretty good, but having someone see you do it is better! I haven’t actually managed to get a really good sail in with any of them yet, but I’m sure our schedules will cross soon and we’ll all score perfect conditions at Borth before too long.

I did sail with Toby in the estuary on Friday, and Tom was out sailing (albeit on kit that was too big) one day last week whilst I was out. They both got a good sail in yesterday in the estuary too. I wasn’t with them then as I’d already been out windsurfing in the waves on the seafront.

Here’s a few shots of Toby playing on the completely flat waters of the estuary.
