Penmachno Video

My third time at Penmachno and this time it was just a quick spin around the first loop with Brad and Steve.

It was a glorious winters day with snow on the ground and some very icy sections, but not a cloud in the sky. I also had my new GoPro HD camera with me so I recorded a few sections on it to test it out. All seemed to work well once I knew what I was doing and the handlebar mount worked a treat. It provided a good secure attachment to my bike and a good angle of view of the trail. The camera seemed to cope well with changes in light level as we went from bright, bright sunlight to dark wooded sections.

A lovely ride that all three of us enjoyed. Brad struggled a little towards the end and the icy sections were a little dodgy but it was certainly worth doing and is still one of my favourite trails. I also can’t stop giggling about hiding behind a little wall out on the trail in the middle of nowhere and jumping out on Steve and Brad when they were least expecting it!

Here’s the video shot on my new toy.
