Ceredigion Moth Trapping – Some old Favourites

I haven’t quite been moth trapping for a whole year yet but it is getting close. Last nights catch was particularly poor and with temperatures down to 4ºC we only had 9 moths in the trap from 5 different species.

Some of the first moths we ever caught were there though showing that we’ve been at it for almost a year, including Morgan’s favourite the Black Rustic. The low numbers does of course mean that it doesn’t take long to sort through them, identify them, photograph them and record them and also means that I can show you photos of each species here.
