The WSSR (World Speed Sailing Record Council) have today ratified two new world records set by l’Hydroptere.
The overall 500m record is now an amazing 51.36 knots, and the 1 nautical mile record is 48.74knots. Amazing stuff. The records were set on Sept 4th in a 28 knot wind. The tri-maran built specifically to challenge for the world record reached a top speed of 55.5 knots!
