Photo-walks can be fun, its good to just go for a walk with camera in hand and take photos of anything and everything. Its surprising the results you can get when you put your mind to it ans there’s so much to shoot wherever you are.

In contrast I’ve set myself a photo-assignment for this weekend with some specific shots in mind. Not sure how it’ll go yet though!

Thanks, glad you like them and I guess you’re right. When I first started photography many years ago all I had was a single 50mm f1.4 lens and that did the trick for almost everything. It also forces you to really concentrate on composition. However, it is nice to have lots of toys!

Glad you liked them Lesley. I could really do with a nice prime lens with macro facility as these were all taken with a 300mm lens and holding that still whilst taking macro shots is a little difficult. Also it has a maximum aperture of around f5 so a nice fast lens such as a 60mm f2.8 macro lens would be nice for such things. I’ll have to put it on my shopping list.

Its good to go out for a ‘photo-walk’ though, I should do it more often but usually end up on my bike or on the sea without my camera. Its only that I’m not up to that at the moment that got me out with the camera. I’ll have to do it more often.
