Eve Smith Painting – Ynyslas

Our final stop of the day on our anniversary was The Frame House in Borth.

Instead of buying each other anniversary cards and presents we had decided to treat ourselves to a nice picture for the wall. We didn’t really know what we wanted so we stopped off to have a look for something suitable. The Frame House was looking good with its new coffee shop and we saw quite a few paintings and photos that we liked, but then we spotted a really nice one of the beach opposite our house with a few kites in it.

It was an original by a local artist called Eve Smith so was a little more money than we had intended to spend, but after a little bit of decision making we decided it was better to spend a little more on something special rather than just buy something suitable. Lets just hope Eve makes name for herself and it ends up being worth even more!

Be grateful with what you bought. You couldn’t have paid much for it it. After all, when you are home in boring dreary england and naturally feeling the brummy blues or whatever, you can get down on your knees before it, breathe deeply and enjoy it and remember the marvellous time you had in wonderful mid WALES which is only a step down from the ultimate head orgasm called NORTH WALES.
    Have a nice day.

Actually, if you read our blog you would realise that we did pay quite a bit for it by our standards, and also that the scene in the painting is in actual fact what we can see from our living room window… No need to get down on our knees before it, we have it right here on our doorstep. 🙂

Sorry I got it wrong. I got the impression you were visiting the area on holiday. Strange you bought the painting at all if it depicts what you can actually see from your living room window there. I’m also surprised that after having been able buy a house with such exquisite views you should mention the fact that the painting was expensive. After all, it’s not a “Kyffin” original is it? And you wouldn’t want to put something from Woolworth’s on the wall, would you?

May we just say that Eve is nothing short of a brilliant artist. We have had three pics commissioned by her…Quality, quality, quality.,and as the saying goes,”You pay for what you get”,and we paid big for quality products…May Eve get the recognition she richly deserves.
